More than 400 took part in Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan’s Cultivating Trust Conference on November 25. One of the presentations at the event was an overview of the past year from FFC SK’s Executive Director Clinton Monchuk.
“2020 has been a difficult year due to Covid-19,” Monchuk said. “Although all of our in-person events were cancelled, we still maintained a successful year of building trust in food and farming.
“We increased our activities through Canadian Food Focus, and our engagement numbers are nothing I could have ever predicted. Millions of Canadians watched our videos, engaged on social media and subscribed to our channels. Not only are we speaking to more Canadians, we’re speaking primarily to urban Canadians.”
The presentation included a video with highlights of activities from the past year. Monchuk went on to outline initiatives such as new online Speak Up training that are underway for early 2021.
