Meals from the Farm

Let’s have a meal and learn about farming! This event will merge two of our previous programs into one: Ag in the City and Breakfast From the Farm. Meals from the Farm will provide a unique opportunity for kids and communities to learn more about where their food comes from.

In cooperation with Ag in the Classroom Saskatchewan, FFC SK will offer a series of online webinars with farmers and chefs about farming and cooking with Saskatchewan-grown foods. It will culminate in the delivery of a free lunch to about 1,000 school kids in the province. We’re also investigating hosting two more meals with community support organizations. Stay tuned! In addition to a hot lunch, FFC SK will provide a pamphlet with information about Saskatchewan food and farming practices and a copy of The Real Dirt on Farming publication. There will also be a Meals From the Farm online resource page with additional learning about different types farming and food production.
