SUMMARY:Refining Barley Processing for Better Cattle Performance
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Greg Penner\, professor and ruminant nutrition researcher at the University of Saskatchewan\, for a practical\, research-backed look at refinements in barley grain processing. \n\n\n\nDr. Penner will draw on current research and applied experience to outline how processing methods can improve consistency when barley is sourced from multiple suppliers\, with clear implications for cattle performance and feed efficiency. \n\n\n\nWhat you’ll learn: \n\n\n\n\nWhy barley stacks up nutritionally against other feed grains\n\n\n\nThe real limits of traditional barley processing in feedlot settings\n\n\n\nHow moisture-based processing reduces variability from multiple barley sources\n\n\n\nPractical flaking and processing recommendations\n\n\n\nNew research comparing dry rolled\, tempered\, and steam-flaked barley\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Today!

SUMMARY:2025 CCFI Public Trust Summit | Fear\, Facts\, and Food: The Fight for Trust
DESCRIPTION:Location: The Westin Toronto Airport Hotel \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis year’s Public Trust Summit will explore one of the most urgent challenges facing Canada’s food system: the growing influence of misinformation on public trust. Recent research reveals that 91% of Canadians are concerned about food misinformation\, yet the majority rarely verify the information they consume. This leaves the public vulnerable to misleading narratives—whether spread by social media influencers\, self-proclaimed experts\, or organized disinformation campaigns aimed at eroding trust in food and farming. \n\n\n\nWith the theme Fear\, Facts\, and Food: The Fight for Trust\, the 2025 Summit will explore the growing phenomenon of “fear-fluencing”—the spread of fear through misinformation and distortion—and unveil new strategies to engage consumers\, strengthen trust\, and safeguard the integrity of our food system. \n\n\n\n\nBook Your Room\n\n\n\nRegister
