We’re getting together to celebrate the incredible food we produce in Saskatchewan and all the people behind this great industry.
Join us and be part of celebrating Ag Week! Farm & Food Care is pleased to host a gathering on Tuesday, October 6 which will include a message from the Minister of Agriculture, presentation of our annual Champion Award, a thought-provoking keynote speaker, and a luncheon showcasing Saskatchewan-grown foods.
We’re especially calling all agriculture communicators to be part of this event. You celebrate agriculture all year long—this is your opportunity to gather with others who understand about supporting farmers and engaging the public in meaningful conversations about food and farming.

Keynote Presentation – Ashlyn George
“Tell the Story, Not the Message”
Agriculture has no shortage of important stories to tell. The challenge is making people want to listen. Ashlyn will explore how agricultural communicators can move beyond formal messaging and industry jargon to create stories that connect with audiences.
Drawing on her experience growing up on a Saskatchewan grain farm and working across the agriculture and food industries, Ashlyn will share practical approaches to finding the unexpected, human, and engaging stories hiding within bigger messages — and turning them into communications people remember.
Ashlyn George is the award-winning travel writer, author, photographer, and content creator behind The Lost Girl’s Guide. Her work has taken her to nearly 70 countries across all 7 continents and has been featured in publications including Maclean’s, Lonely Planet, and National Geographic.
