Fall field rides beating the sunset home

When taking supper to the field for the men, sometimes the beauty of harvest catches my breath. This was one of those times.

As a mom of all boys, Cars (the Disney movie) has been a staple in our lives for many years. There’s something nostalgic about a red Mack that just brings joy.

My father-in-law was helping my daughter, who is an environmental engineer, take soil samples in this canola field. Although not a career farmer, he grew up on a small farm and was a grain buyer for years in communities like Kamsack, Latham and Theodore. Thought this photo was an excellent image of the everyday farmer in Saskatchewan.

From the early morning dew to the golden glow of sunset – hard working farmers that feed the world are on the field from early morning to after the sunset.

This year especially from apples to potatoes we have seen nature give hearts even a pail of rocks collected is heart shaped. It shows that nature provides and depending on view a sense of humour!

As the sun slips beyond the horizon, the sky ignites in brilliant shades of amber, gold, and crimson. Wisps of clouds stretch across the heavens like flames dancing in the fading light, while the distant hills rest deep in shadow. For one fleeting moment, earth and sky seem to meet in a fiery embrace, capturing the quiet beauty and untamed power of nature. It is a reminder that even as the day fades into darkness, the world can still burn with extraordinary light. Taken in the RM of Terrell.

It’s wonderful to see all the frogs come back after many years of drought. This little frog gladly sat for his picture to be taken.
