Present your research with clarity and confidence. This practical session is designed for those who want their conference posters and presentations to stand out, communicate clearly, and be remembered.
Whether you’re preparing for your first conference or looking to sharpen your communication skills, this workshop focuses on evidence-based science communication techniques you can apply immediately to your own slides and posters.

You’ll learn:
- Three core principles of science communication for effective posters and presentation slides
- A “narrow focus” mindset to keep each slide or section centered on one key message
- To choose visuals that strengthen your message instead of distracting from it
- Simple, effective design tricks to guide the viewer’s eye and highlight key information
- The assertion-evidence structure to improve clarity, persuasion, and recall
You’ll leave with practical tools, clear examples, and a structured approach you can use right away to create posters and presentations that make your work easier to understand and harder to forget.
