Homes On The Range Short Documentary Lauch Event

Location: The University of Saskatchewan, Marquis Hall Event Centre

This FREE event will engage students in the important discussion about Canadian agriculture and conservation, highlighting the vital relationship between cattle farming/ranching and wildlife on Canada’s grasslands. Through a film screening, panel discussion, and networking, it is our goal to build an understanding of how cattle contribute to biodiversity and sustainability.

Program Schedule

4:00 pm – Doors open, complimentary snack and pop, prize draw entry

4:25 pm – Opening remarks, “HOTR” Documentary screening (17 minutes)

4:45 pm – Panel discussion (30 minutes + 15 minutes audience Q & A)

• Mitch Weegman: Ducks Unlimited Canada Endowed Chair in Wetland and Waterfowl Conservation, Associate Professor at the University of Saskatchewan
• Kurtis Reid: Rancher and Saskatchewan Sales Manager, Masterfeeds, an Alltech Company and Host of the Lifestock Podcast
• Branimir Gjetva: Soil Resource Specialist at Agriculture Canada, biologist, environmental photographer

5:30 pm – Networking reception, grazing table & complimentary beverages

5:45 pm – Prize draw & closing remarks
