Tour Stops

Pound-Maker Feedlot
Pound-Maker purchases steers from 500 to 1000 pounds throughout the year and fed to finish weights for the Canadian beef industry. Each animal is individually weighed upon arrival and placed into a lot of cattle of the same weight range. The cattle are fed a starter ration of 70% grain and 30% forage (grasses). As the cattle move towards the projected finished weight of approximately 1,400 pounds, the ration changes to 80% grain and the remaining forage. The co-products of ethanol production are also included in the ration. Pound-Maker also operates a summer grazing program that has light weight steers purchased in late winter and fed in the feedlot until May when the cattle are put out to pasture. The cattle come back to the feedlot in September or October to be finished. An overview of the Pound-Maker Feedlot is available here: https://pound-maker.ca/pages/feedlot-virtual-tour

Lanigan Golf and Country Club
The Lanigan Golf and Country Club is a beautiful 9-hole, grass green course located at the northeast end of the town of Lanigan. Come and enjoy our large greens, sculptured tee boxes, water hazards, bunkers, irrigated fairways and our pro shop and new club house!

Monchuk Farms
Clinton farms with his brother Andrew and parents and family. They operate a grain farm, growing a variety of different cereal, pulse and oilseed crops and pasture on 4,000 acres of land. Since 2017, they also have a table egg farm and care for about 8,000 laying hens. The Monchuks take a lot of pride in the wholesome food ingredients that they grow for Saskatchewan, Canada and the world. The Monchuk farm has been in the family since the 1920s and Clinton hopes that one day, his kids or nieces will continue in his farming footsteps.
